hey again! it's been a while but here's what is new!
i have started working at food services for SMR and it has been a pretty good experience. one of my favorite parts has been working with some internationals from taiwan and china, some who are buddhists and others who are christians - so i've had fun asking questions about their culture and traditions.
last week a group of us had the opportunity to hike nine-mile mountain, which was one of my favorite hikes here. it takes about an hour total, but it has God's mailbox at the top with a bible & prayer journal that others have used in the past and it also overlooks the whole camp.
another favorite hike started at 4:55 a.m. on sunday morning. my roommate (elle) and i wore pajama attire to see the sunrise at columbine point. it was by far the best sunrise i've ever seen and i think it is a start of a tradition.
tomorrow i leave for michigan to be at camp with my eighth grade girls from young life! we are going to timberwolf lake, and i cannot wait to hangout with them for a whole week!
after i come back i will be starting a new job here at SMR. i had an interview yesterday to be the special events associate and i got the job! i'm very excited, i love the people i will be working with and i think i will enjoy working at the front desk, coordinating weddings, giving tours to couples considering a wedding or reception here, and possibly some graphic designing!

Susan! All of this sounds so amazing, and the pictures are gorgeous. I can't believe you got up so early to see the sunrise, but it sounded like it was worth it! Congrats on the job too. I look forward to reading more about your wonderful summer. Miss you!
