hey friends!
so here are a few bits and pieces of life in colorado for those of you who are curious!
i have been spoiled by not having to start with work quite yet - but i will have orientation tomorrow, and then work starts on thursday at commons 6am -2pm.
so in the mean time i have been checking in at human resources, had a tour of this huge camp and its beautiful sights! i met my wonderful roomates, karlie & elle along with the staff. sometimes i feel like it's college all over again...dorms, dining hall, and new people! good stuff really!
yesterday i attempted some biking around campus and tried to find the waterfall here. i realized the altitude and mountains are quite significant - but i still couldn't help but smile and talk like krystal flietstra [on downhills] because the views are simply unbelievable. after dinner we had a group climb to the waterfall [picture on the right] and we had some great conversation, beautiful sights [again], and fun crossing the river & climbing around the waterfall!
today i hiked the 4 [of five] peaks of snow mountain [picture at top] with three others [dean, ale & steve]. it was a four hour challenge, but definitely worthwhile because at the peaks you could see that snow mountain ranch is completely surrounded with snow capped 14'ers in every direction! later we had a spring fling event with the staff including dinner, raffle, volleyball, a movie and fire! they keep us busy with fun :)
thanks for all the texts, calls and emails! i love to hear about all your summers! i hope all is well! God Bless & Hazak!
